Dr. Forbes Porter Lab: Section on Molecular Dysmorphology
Dr. Rahhal currently performs clinical research with Dr. Porter on neurocognitive genetic disorders, Smith-Lemli-Opitz syndrome, and creatine transporter deficiency.
Biosketch
Dr. Rahhal graduated medical school from the American University of Beirut, Lebanon, in 2001. She completed her pediatric residency at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation in 2005, followed by a fellowship in pediatric endocrinology at Riley Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Dr. Rahhal then went into clinical practice as a pediatric endocrinologist at Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis for 10 years. In 2018, she moved back to her hometown of Beirut, where she was an assistant professor of pediatrics at the American University of Beirut.
Dr. Rahhal joined NICHD in 2021 as a staff clinician in the Office of the Clinical Director.
