Eunice Kennedy Shriver Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities Research Centers (EKS-IDDRCs): Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Overview

NICHD will reissue a notice of funding opportunity (NOFO) to solicit applications for research to advance the diagnosis, prevention, treatment, and amelioration of IDDs through the IDDRCs. Each IDDRC will promote highly collaborative, basic, translational, and clinical research in IDD.

NICHD encourages collaborative investigations combining expertise in translational science, biomarker assessment, outcome measure development, tool validation, bioinformatics, and therapeutic development. In addition, the institute expects proposals to establish meaningful partnerships with the community, including persons with lived experience of disabilities.

Please review NOT-HD-24-023: Notice of Intent to Publish a Funding Opportunity Announcement for IDDRCs 2025 (P50 Clinical Trial Optional) for more information.
