Biosketch

June Lee, M.D., Ph.D., joined NICHD in 1999 and became the special assistant to the NCMRR director in June 2023. She came to NIH in 1989, working for the National Eye Institute. During her time at NIH, she has also been the chair of the NIH Artificial Intelligence (AI) Interest Group since 2003 and the chair of NIH National Autonomous Therapeutics Group since 2016.

Dr. Lee is a board-certified emergency physician and clinical pharmacologist as well as a certified AI architect. Her skills and areas of interest include AI autonomous diagnostic-therapeutic-rehabilitation cycles, AI health care initiatives, automatic therapeutic systems, biomarker and digital biomarker integration, biosensor and therapeutic sensor network, master algorithm sets for therapeutic-rehabilitation outcomes, and development of pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic/pharmacogenetic algorithm sets. She is also a project officer/program director and manages federal acquisition and contracting within her portfolio.
