Purpose
In 2020 and 2021, NICHD made recommendations on the use of CDEs to promote data harmonization in studies of COVID-19, including research on PASC, in pregnant, lactating, and pediatric populations. During this webinar, participants will review the CDEs for studying COVID-19 and PASC and will learn how to access them through the Disaster Research Response (DR2) Resources Portal, managed by National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), and the Research Electronic Data Capture (REDCap) Shared Library . View NOT-HD-22-047 for details.
This webinar will include a:
- Live demonstration of accessing the CDEs on the DR2 platform and the REDCap Shared Library
- Question-and-answer period with representatives from the pregnancy and pediatric COVID-19/PASC CDE working groups and DR2 experts
This webinar is optional; participation is not required to apply for funding consideration. However, all prospective applicants and researchers interested in using these CDEs in their work are invited to attend.
Investigators applying to the Notices of Special Interest (NOSIs) NOT-HD-22-002 and NOT-HD-22-003, both related to COVID and pregnancy and/or pediatrics, are strongly encouragedto utilize the CDEs available via the DR2 Resources Portal in their data collection. Applicants who choose not to include the CDEs in their projects for these NOSIs will be required to provide a clear rationale for their choice not to do so, and an explanation of what data elements they will use instead.
Individuals who need any reasonable accommodations to participate in this activity should contact Robert Tamburro at robert.tamburro@nih.gov or 301-480-2619 at least 5 days in advance.
