August 18, 2020 (10:00 a.m. eastern standard time)

Alert

In support of the Office of Personnel Management guidance to strengthen our efforts to protect the federal workforce to ensure continuity of operations, NIH is urging that all large meetings and symposia that are not mission critical and are scheduled to be held at NIH facilities or organized by NIH either be held virtually using tele/videoconferencing services, postponed, or cancelled.

This is the NABMRR meeting originally scheduled for May 4, 2020. Dr. Cruz gave the Director's update by public webinar on May 4. Please contact Dr. Ralph Nitkin at nitkinr@mail.nih.gov with any questions.

Purpose

The NIH Amendments Act of 1990 (Public Law 101-613) established NCMRR within NICHD. The same Act created NABMRR (also called the National Center for Medical Rehabilitation Advisory Board) to advise the Directors of NIH, NICHD, and NCMRR on matters and policies relating to the Center's research programs.

NABMRR includes members from a variety of scientific fields, professions, and locations relevant to medical rehabilitation and disability communities; members are nominated and approved in compliance with Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA) regulations.
