Pharmacotherapy of Viral Disorders in Children

Purpose

David Kimberlin, M.D., will discuss the clinical pharmacology of infectious disease agents in children of all ages and the current approaches to pediatric drug development of these agents. During his presentation, Dr. Kimberlin will:

  • Describe clinical pharmacology principles of infectious disease agents.
  • List the drug development steps for infectious disease agents in children.

Dr. Kimberlin holds the Sergio Stagno Endowed Chair in Pediatric Infectious Diseases at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he is co-director of the Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases.
