Purpose
The NIH neuroscience community and members of the public are invited to a scientific symposium celebrating the completion of the John Edward Porter Neuroscience Research Center on the NIH campus. The agenda will include presentations by leading neuroscientists from across the United States as well as several NIH Institutes.
Among those slated to speak are two NICHD intramural neuroscience investigators, Drs. Chris McBain and Mark Stopfer, and NICHD grantee Huda Zoghbi of Baylor College of Medicine.
The event will also offer the community a first look at the state of the art Porter building, which was designed specifically to foster collaboration and interaction among the NIH community of researchers, including NICHD investigators, who study the brain.
