As an alternative to attending the National Advisory Child Health and Human Development Council in person, interested parties can attend the public portion of the meeting virtually. NICHD has made arrangements for virtual participants to attend this session using the NIH Videocast system. Virtual participants will see the slides and listen to the presenter remarks exactly like participants in the meeting room.

To attend virtually, you will need a computer with high speed Internet access, computer speakers and RealPlayer software loaded on your computer. A free copy of this software can be downloaded from http://www.videocast.nih.gov by clicking on the Player Software link. It is important to make sure that your computer is configured properly before the date of the Council meeting.

On the day of the Council Meeting, go to http://www.videocast.nih.gov. Under Today’s events you will see a link for the National Advisory Child Health and Human Development Council meeting. Click the “Click to Watch” button and the meeting and the audio and video feed will play within RealPlayer on your computer screen.

If you need help, call the NIH Help Desk at (301) 496-4357, toll free (866) 319-4357 or send email to the NIH IT Help Desk at http://ithelpdesk.nih.gov.
