As part of the campaign, the NICHD has worked with other interested organizations to help expand the reach of the
Milk Matters health message.

The NICHD collaborates with the
National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR) on educational materials for dental care providers and their patients about the importance of milk and calcium to dental health. These include a brochure for parents and a coloring book for young children. The NICHD and NIDCR currently co-publish the
Milk Matters with Buddy Brush coloring book, for kids ages 4 to 8 to help parents talk with their kids about calcium and dental health.

-
The NICHD is a partner in the National Bone Health Campaign's
Powerful Bones. Powerful Girls initiative, which kicked off on September 13, 2001. The multi-year educational program encourages girls 9 to 12 years old establish lifelong healthy habits, especially increasing calcium consumption and physical activity to build and maintain strong bones. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the National Osteoporosis Foundation sponsor the initiative.
