The Menkes Foundation was formed to advocate for children with Menkes disease and raise awareness of the issue.
The National Organization for Rare Disorders (NORD) is a voluntary federation of health organizations dedicated to helping people with rare disorders, including Menkes disease. NORD provides information about and assistance with Menkes disease, including financial support for the underinsured and uninsured.
Orphanet is a portal for information about rare diseases including Menkes disease.
The Genetics Home Reference provides easily understood information about the effects of genetic variations on human health, including information on how to find a genetic counselor and what to discuss when meeting with a counselor.
