Is there a cure for hypoparathyroidism?

There is currently no cure for hypoparathyroidism. Once the parathyroid glands are injured or removed, they cannot be replaced. It will then be important for the person to maintain an adequate level of calcium and vitamin D in the blood through supplements or other means.^{1, 2}
