CAPT Jason Woo, M.D., M.P.H., FACOG, received his medical education from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and completed his residency in obstetrics/gynecology (OB/GYN) at Georgetown University Hospital. He received his M.P.H. from the University of Arizona School of Public Health and also has a postgraduate diploma in economic development from the London School of Economics. He has held clinical and administrative positions with the Indian Health Service (IHS), including as the Phoenix Area IHS Maternal-Child Health Consultant and Telemedicine Programs Coordinator, Phoenix Indian Medical Center Deputy Chief of the OB/GYN Department and Director of Women's Services, and Clinical Director for the Southern Bands Health Center in Elko, Nevada. Prior to joining CRHB in 2010, Dr. Woo spent 8 years with the Food and Drug Administration, first as the Clinical Evaluation Team Leader in the Division of Dietary Supplement Programs, Office of Special Nutritional Products, Labeling and Dietary Supplements at the Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition, and then as the Associate Director for Scientific and Medical Affairs in the Office of Compliance for the Center for Drug Evaluation and Review. Dr. Woo maintains his clinical practice with the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Washington Hospital Center and at the Bread for the City Free Clinic in Washington, DC.
