Purpose
This workshop will discuss the latest developments in biophotonics at tissue, cell, and molecular levels with the specific goals of reviewing: multi-modality imaging; development of molecular contrast agents; women’s health issues; multi-disciplinary networks of scientists (NIH Roadmap); European, American, and Asian networks; and science-industry partnerships. The workshop will bring together experts in the diagnosis and treatment of several important health issues we face today. The format will include lectures by top people in the biophotonic field, as well as panels of experts addressing the needs for fast cures for and overcoming barriers to translational medicine.
